University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien: Institute of renewable energies
The University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien is the largest purely technically based advanced technical college in Austria with a current total of around 6800 graduates and over 3300 students, offering 12 bachelor and 17 masters’ degree courses.
The Institute for renewable energy implements research and advisory projects in the pioneering field of renewable energy sources, and is one of fifteen institutes belonging
to the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien. One area of emphasis in the institute’s work is the issue of smart grids, solar energy and the implementation
and integration of renewable energy resource technologies in buildings and in energy distribution systems. The staff at the Institute for Renewable Energy is responsible for national and international research and development projects, and works closely with the industry and the energy businesses.
